FAQs
Can you wash a Selah Vie blanket in the washing machine?
Yes. We recommend machine washing your blanket by itself on a delicate cycle in cold water using regular liquid detergent. Do not use fabric softener. We recommend hanging the blanket after washing to let it air dry. Afterward, you can tumble it on a gentle cycle with no heat to help restore its fluffiness.
Will my Selah Vie blanket shed?
Like most plush faux-fur textiles, some loose fibers can occasionally appear, especially when the blanket is new or after washing. Following Selah Vie’s care instructions helps preserve the blanket’s texture and appearance.
Can I give a Selah Vie blanket as a gift?
Yes! A Selah Vie blanket works well as a premium gift for birthdays, weddings, holidays, housewarmings, new parents, or anyone who loves cozy home products. Selah Vie also sells digital gift cards for shoppers who would rather let the recipient choose their own color or style.
Are Selah Vie blankets weighted blankets?
Selah Vie’s standard blankets weigh approximately 3.5 pounds. They are designed to feel heavier and more substantial than a lightweight throw, without being as heavy as many traditional therapeutic weighted blankets.
Cozy With a Cause
At Selah Vie, every blanket you purchase helps financially empower struggling women in Zambia, enabling them to support their families by sewing blankets for children and families in need within their communities.
This initiative not only provides life-changing income for these women, but it also addresses a critical need—blankets are a luxury that many in Zambia don't have.
Each time you wrap yourself in a Selah Vie blanket, a child across the world is now wrapped in a blanket of their own.
